We've been renewed for another season!

Well, we are approaching the one year mark in our unintentional hiatus from blogging. I have been thinking lately of refocusing my facebook, twitter, email efforts and concentrating them on our blog. However I also think I will be making it private. Weird things going on out there with peoples pictures and such. So keep an eye out!

Being 1 is crazy!

Where do I start?
So I'm 1 now and I guess that means you get to do all kinds of fun, exciting things, like going to the zoo where I got to go down a slide, and ride an elephant and a camel...
and using the computer...
...eating real people food...mmm....pasta....
...and showing Great Grandpa and Cousin Scotty how to destroy a tower of blocks!
But being 1 has brought some things that were not so fun too. Like getting sick :(
I had a double ear infection and then got a rash from the medicine the Dr. gave me. My mom and dad thought I was going to turn completely red. Just look at my belly!
Then when I started to feel better I was spinning around our house and I fell and hit my lip. I had to get 4 stitches. It wasn't that bad, luckily I still have all my teeth, and now this cool scar. I think it will impresses the ladies.
So after I got all better, mom and dad decided I deserved a vacation so we went to Crystal Cove beach and stayed in a cottage. It was a lot, lot, lot of fun.
At first I wasn't too sure about this sandy beach stuff...
but after trying it, it was pretty good and fun.
The Davidson's joined us for a day too. I showed them how to destroy sand castles.
I really like the water. Those waves aren't that scary, but for some reason daddy kept scooping me up everytime a big one came.

Once when he wasn't looking I ran into the water...it was so cold but I didn't mind.

Then, a few weeks after we got back it was this thing called Easter that they say is about Jesus. All I know is I got a lot of candy, popped a lot of bubbles, and got a new hat, but sometimes when I go to sleep mommy puts my new hat over my diaper. Silly mommy. It's only half full. I'm pooped...so long for now.

ONE and then some!

Hey everyone- I have been super busy this last month. So sorry I didn't get time to blog about my big birthday! I turned one year old!!! Can you believe it? I made it to my first birthday ever! I had presents and cake and a pan"cake" breakfast. Yummy. Pancakes are my very favorite thing- I could eat a dozen, oh wait I have eaten a dozen !
So I think something is going on with Mommy and I think I figured it out!.... my Mommy... is turning into a baby! Here is my careful analysis of the clues.
exhibit a : She is taking naps just like a baby does.
exhibit b : She is getting a funny round belly that sticks out - like mine does!
exhibit c : She is a picky eater, mostly milk ( like a baby) but her milk is frozen, same thing right?
exhibit d : sometimes she spits up after she eats- Just like a BABY!
That must be it- there is no other conclusion to come to than my Mommy is getting younger as she gets older- I will keep up my investigation and make sure you are all up to date on this "Curious Case".
In the mean time here is a photo of My mom and Dad and me and a video of my destruction!

New Year..........

New Baby!
Wait what? I'm the baby. Well, technically I will be one year old in a few weeks and I can walk and eat people food, but I am the baby! I thought Mom and Dad said I was getting a pet in August and I was really hoping for a Dog. I better talk to them about this and see if we can renegotiate the terms. I mean really, what do I want with a baby, they just cry and sleep, what am I going to do with that? I wonder if that is why Mommy is eating frosted flakes for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Or why she always looks so sad when I wake up from my naps- like she was taking a nap and I woke her up? Well excuse me Mommy. Sorry to disturb you. I will have to get back to you all on this and let you know the status.
Samuel
Here I am on our New Year's trip to the zoo- and there is an orangutan in the photo as well.
Here is me and Mommy at the zoo- don't worry there is glass between us and the Giant Gorilla- and you can't break glass.
Here is me and Grampa- he is silly.

The most wonderful time of the year!

Sleighbells, snow, silent night? What are they talking about? I have never seen any of these things! Maybe they are pretend, you know- like Santa. All I know is Mommy is playing fun Christmas music all the time, and there is this tree thing with lights all over it, which I am NOT allowed to touch. Wha? WHy would you do that to a wonderful 11 month old boy who is learning to walk? I must explore! I did hear her say there would be one at Grammas house, and I am SURE gramma will let me touch it. She doesn't care what Mommy says. Today I got a new carseat- it is super luxury! Soft velvety fabric, soft and cozy, and oh so big! I don't know who Mommy and Daddy put in that other carseat before but it couldn't have been me! I really find it hard to believe I ever fit in that thing, it's tiny! Well Merry Christmas too all. May you get many fun presents with paper and bows and boxes! May your Mommies let you try some new treats and may your tumbles be few. See you in the new Year!
Ho ho ho!

Look - there he is!
Hay is for horses! Don't eat it- trust me.
One big happy family!

My Monolouge

This is it! My big moment. Gramma videoed me giving one of my greatest speeches to date. I would like to thank Grampa for his support throughout this speech and all the little people out there- like me! I really hope you enjoy watching it as much as I do. It comes from the heart.

Yours truly,

Samuel

Thankfully

I am always so amazed when I stop to blog that another month has flown by! Where did it go? In two more months I will be one year old! I just cannot believe how big I am. It seems like only yesterday I couldn't roll over and now lookat me I can stand independently for like 5 seconds. I mean I am thinking about trying to walk sometime in the future. They grow up so fast folks. So recently I "celebrated" my first Halloween. I felt like a movie star. I wore this cool costume and everyone was taking my picture. Well thats not too different from every other day, except I was wearing a costume! I got to go in a firetruck. Not every baby gets to do that. We'll catch up more later- I gotta split. C-ya later Alligator Samuel "Gee I am awfully cute aren't I? " Here I am in my new blue sweater. Here I am in my costume with Mommy and Daddy

Just doin' my job ma'am. To the rescue!! Look at meeee!
